Its the time when small to enterprise businesses moving towards multiple cloud (E.g. AWS, Azure) based solutions for their complex architecture. Whether you like it or not, COVID-19 pandemic forced businesses to plan for digital and flexible working solution to continue their business as usual in case of an emergency. So If you are planning to join with them to help succeed, you better be prepared for everything to keep the infrastructure up and running smoothly.
Among the cloud based solutions providers, Amazon Web Services provides variety of products and services for you to build up your backup environment or run the primary environment in the cloud. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C02) exam allows you to begin your AWS journey with all the necessary services (Compute, Storage, Networking, etc). The exam tests your depth knowledge not with the simulations but with scenario questions.
Don’t worry if you have never used AWS, create a free AWS account which Includes
12 Months of Free Tier Access to play around on your own. Understand the exam structure before begin study so you know on which areas you will have to focus more.
There are several online courses out there, I’ve found Ryan Kroonenburg’s AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate 2020 on Udemy is really useful for beginner with all the required explanations. Also on the other hand Stephane Maarek’s Ultimate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate 2020 does the same job for you to pass the exam (SAA-C02).
Remember practice makes it perfect. Login to the AWS console and simulate the scenario’s, that way you will understand the subject rather than remembering it.
Certification courses and console practice are not enough to pass the exam (SAA-C02). I would recommend to grab the practice test from Whizlab, which contains total of 650+ practice questions along with Labs required for the exam. You will learn more when doing the practice tests also redo the questions again and again until you understand the subject.
If you found something new during the practice questions, do a research, find out what is it? why its included with other answers? whats the relevance, whats are the differences…etc.
Also make sure to check out AWS whitepapers and below FAQ’s.
This helps you to understand the best practices for the services (You will be surprised to see the similar examples in the exam which is already mentioned in the best practices)
Finally, once you feel confident book for the exam according to your timeline. Make sure to follow the guidelines if you are planning to take the exam at home or workplace.
Good luck for your exam and happy learning!
